The University of Wah has made
significant strides in 2026. For the first time, it has been recognized in the QS
Asia University Rankings, standing 10th in Pakistan among small-sized
universities. It is also ranked highly by the Times Higher Education (THE)
Impact Rankings for its focus on Quality Education (SDG 4) and Climate
Action.

Academic Structure & Faculties
UW operates across multiple
campuses, including the famous Wah Engineering College (WEC) and Mashal
Degree College (MDC). It offers over 35 programs across five faculties:
- Faculty of Engineering: The crown jewel of UW. Offers PEC-accredited programs
in Mechatronics, Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, and Chemical Engineering.
- Faculty of Computer Science: Includes high-demand degrees like BS Artificial
Intelligence, Cyber Security, and Data Science.
- Faculty of Basic Sciences: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biosciences.
- Faculty of Management Sciences: BBA, Accounting & Finance, and Business Analytics.

The Spring 2026 session is
currently in full swing.
- Classes Commenced:
March 2, 2026.
- Next Admission Cycle:
Applications for the Fall 2026 semester typically open in June/July
2026.
- Application Process:
All applications are processed via the AVICENNA Campus Management
System. The application fee is PKR 1,000.

UW remains more affordable than many
Lahore or Islamabad-based private universities, especially for local residents.
Scholarships
& Concessions:
- POF Nominees:
Up to 15% concession on tuition fees.
- Merit Scholarship:
Students with 90% or above in Intermediate get a 70% waiver
on tuition fees.
- Kinship:
Discounts for siblings of current students or alumni.

- IT Services:
15 state-of-the-art computer labs with PERN2 high-speed internet from HEC.
- Library:
The WEC library alone houses over 19,000 books and a massive
digital bank of research journals.
- Hostels:
Separate, secure hostels for male and female students (limited capacity,
first-come-first-served).

A dedicated fleet of buses commuting from Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and
Attock.
