The Punjab government has allocated over Rs 47 billion to support approximately 4.2 million families this year. If you are a resident of Punjab and meet the low-income criteria, follow these steps to secure your assistance.
Before applying, ensure you meet the following requirements:
Income: Monthly household income must be less than Rs 60,000.
Residency: Must be a permanent resident of Punjab (verified via CNIC).
Assets: No car or heavy vehicle should be registered in the applicant’s name (motorcycles are generally exempt).
Poverty Score: Families with a poverty score below 30% (determined by PSER/BISP data) are prioritized.
There are three main ways to register for the 2026 program:
Open your phone's messaging app.
Type your 13-digit CNIC number (without dashes).
Send the message to 8070.
You will receive a reply indicating your eligibility or directing you to further registration steps.
If the SMS tells you to register through the registry, visit the Punjab Socio-Economic Registry (PSER):

Create an account using your mobile number and CNIC.
Fill out the socio-economic form accurately, including details about family members and income.
For those who prefer face-to-step assistance:
Visit your local Union Council (UC) office or designated Facilitation Center.
Bring your original CNIC and the B-Forms of your children.
The staff will perform a digital survey to register your family.
Once approved, the government provides the funds through the Nigehban Card or biometric transfer.

| Nigehban Card | Use the card at any Bank of Punjab (BOP), HBL, or UBL ATM to withdraw cash. |
| Biometric Withdrawal | If you don't have a card, visit an HBL Konnect or UBL Omni agent. Provide your CNIC and perform a thumb verification to collect the cash. |
| Retailer Payments | The grant can also be used at Utility Stores and Sahulat Bazaars to buy subsidized flour, ghee, and sugar. |
Direct Cash: Rs 10,000 one-time grant.
Rashan Bag: Includes 10kg Flour, 2kg Sugar, 2kg Ghee, 2kg Rice, and 1kg Chickpeas (for specific vulnerable groups).
Sasta Bazaars: Access to items at 25-30% below market rates.
Important Note: The registration deadline for the primary verification phase was February 15, 2026, but portal registrations and verification updates often continue throughout the month. Check your status immediately via 8070.
