2026 mein internet ab sirf zameen par bichhi hui cables (fiber optics) tak mahdood nahi raha. Starlink, Amazon Kuiper, aur OneWeb jaisi companies ne hazaron satellites ke zariye dunya ke kone kone tak internet pohncha diya hai. Jahan is se remote ilaqon mein tarraqi aayi hai, wahin is ne Cybersecurity ka poora manzar-nama (threat landscape) badal kar rakh diya hai.

1. Physical Vulnerability: Satellites ab Soft Target Hain

Pehle internet cables zameen ke neeche ya samandar mein hoti thin, jinhein physical nuksan pohnchana mushkil tha. Lekin 2026 mein, internet ka poora infrastructure "Space" mein move kar chuka hai.

  • Terminal Hacking: Agar kisi hacker ne aapki satellite dish ka "Firmware" hack kar liya, toh wo aapke poore network ka control le sakta hai.

  • Malicious Updates: Satellites ko space mein ja kar theek nahi kiya ja sakta, isliye unhein "Remote Updates" bheji jati hain. Agar hacker is update process mein ghus jaye, toh wo hazaron satellites ko hamesha ke liye band kar sakta hai.

4. Latency aur Real-Time Security Monitoring

Jahan 5G aur 6G latency ko kam kar rahe hain, wahan satellite internet mein data ko space tak jane aur wapas aane mein waqt lagta hai.

  • The Delay Gap: Is thore se "Time Gap" ka faida utha kar hackers automated attacks launch karte hain jinhein pakarna mushkil hota hai.

  • Global Reach, Global Attacks: Pehle hackers ko kisi mulk par attack karne ke liye wahan ke local infrastructure ka pata hona zaroori tha, lekin satellite internet ne hackers ko dunya ke har kone tak "Direct Access" de di hai.

5. Shadow Networks aur Regulatory Challenges

Space-based internet kisi ek mulk ki sarhad (border) ka paband nahi hota.

  • Unmonitored Traffic: Hackers in networks ko use kar ke "Shadow Networks" bana sakte hain jahan wo sarkari agencies ki nazron se bach kar illegal kaam kar sakein.

  • Jurisdiction Issues: Agar koi hacker space-based internet use kar ke Pakistan mein attack karta hai lekin satellite kisi dusre mulk ki hai, toh usay pakarna aur saza dena aik bara legal masla ban jata hai.
